How It Works

Our YouTube transcript extractor makes it easy to extract and download transcripts from entire YouTube channels or playlists. Here's how the process works:

Step 1: Enter Channel URL

Simply paste any YouTube channel URL into our tool. We support multiple formats including @username (like @channelname), channel IDs (youtube.com/channel/UCxxxxx), and custom channel URLs (youtube.com/c/channelname). No need to worry about the exact format - our system automatically detects and processes it.

Step 2: Automatic Video Discovery

Once you submit the channel URL, our system automatically fetches all videos from that channel. We use YouTube's official API to retrieve video information, ensuring we capture every available video including public uploads, playlists, and featured content.

Step 3: Transcript Extraction

For each video found, we attempt to extract the transcript. YouTube provides transcripts for most videos that have captions enabled. Our system processes each video individually, retrieving the transcript text when available. Videos without transcripts are noted in the final output.

Step 4: CSV Download

All extracted transcripts are compiled into a single CSV file for easy analysis. The file includes the channel name, video title, video URL, and the complete transcript text. You can open this CSV in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application for further analysis, searching, or processing.

Note: Processing time depends on the number of videos in the channel. Small channels (under 50 videos) are processed instantly and free. Larger channels may take a few minutes and require credits. Some videos may not have transcripts available if the creator hasn't enabled captions.
